We arrived for our stay on 11/4 at the Oxford, Maine Hampton Inn and Suites where we had planned on staying while visiting the adjacent casino. When the "only on duty staff member" gave us our room keys and checked us in.
My wife asked to speak with a manager. She was told that there wasn't one on duty.
Very nice 10 month old hotel. (10/2017) The room was very clean with a mini refrigerator. Very spacious bathroom with a large shower. Check in / out was really quick and easy. The staff, very friendly. The hotel is located right across the street from the casino, a definite plus!
We will not be staying at another Hampton or affiliated hotel ever again and we will make sure and share our experience wherever we get the chance.
This was a nicely laid out Hampton Inn. The gym was great since it had free weights up to 50lbs. Breakfast was nice and typical Hampton Inn style. Our room was nice and tidy. The posted photo is view from our room... Breath taking. It was great waking up to this amazing view. I'm from the city so seeing something like this is not a regular occurrence.
My wife tried to ask for a different room. There wasn't one, as they were completely booked.
My wife asked for a refund. She was told she COULD NOT have one.
New..ish hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The TV however is oddly placed but no biggie. The bathroom door is sliding but no option to lock. Great value for your money. Breakfast was good enough. Waffles, eggs, sausage, fruits yogurt, coffee and juices. They have a free shuttle to the casino across the street. They also had a small business room with 2 computers and a nice view of the mountains.
Very nice. Rented the breakfast area for a family gathering. It worked very well. The guest rooms were more than acceptable. We will use them again.
Then my wife was yelled and screamed at by the girl working the desk. We did not get the girls name unfortunately. But she was wearing a pink "I love Hampton" t-shirt and had dark hair as I recall and looked to be in her 20's.
Upon arriving in our room we immediately realized that it was not the correct room at all. It was two double beds and our confirmation which we showed to the girl said it was for a king room as we were staying for our wedding anniversary, which was completely ruined by what followed.
